In consideration of the creeping increase in crime in the area, we are calling on the Mayor, the City Council, our elected officials, and the Office of Management and Budget to increase funding for the 19th Precinct that serves the Upper East Side. We greatly appreciate the hard work, efficiency, professionalism and sacrifices of the 19th Precinct. We are lucky to have them! They are, however, protecting 200,000 with only 185 officers. Let’s give the 19th the resources they need to keep us safe and to put more cops on the streets!
